What Can I Expect
What can I expect?
Visiting a new church can make you nervous. By answering some of your questions ahead of time, we will try to make that experience easier for you.
How should I dress?
What you wear is completely up to you. People in our church family wear a variety of clothes. Come dressed for your comfort in a manner that shows respect for a worship experience.
How will I be greeted?
Visitor’s parking spots will be waiting just for you. Greeters will meet you in the gathering area, and can tell you what to expect in the service that day. They will offer directions to worship areas.
What is the worship style?
We offer both traditional and contemporary services. The traditional service features mostly older familiar hymns, while the contemporary service features more modern praise style music.
Will my children be included?
Children of all ages are important to us. Nursery care is available during the entire service for children under 2 1/2 years of age. A class for older children and teens are available. Classes are staffed with trained teachers. All the teachers and workers have been trained to meet our "Child Protection Policy".
Will I be called on during the service?
No. We want you to feel at home during your visit with us.
Will I be expected to give to our offering?
No. You are our guest, and we want you to receive God blessing during your visit. Sharing is between you and God.
Will the pastor’s message be long or boring?
No, messages are to encourage you and help give spirtual direction for your life. Messages typically last about 20 minutes. Our congregation struggles with the same issues as you. We all are seeking spiritual direction in meeting the everyday joys and concerns of life.
Can your building meet my special physical needs?
Yes. There are automatic handicap doors in both the front and rear main entrances. Large print and hearing assist devices are available. If you have need for these please ask an usher. If you have a special need please call ahead (717) 626-2131 and we will answer any questions you may have.
