Feb. 8, 15, 22    STUDY OF 1 JOHN

Eric Landram & Joel Gibbel

One Ancient Pastor’s Perspective on the Implications of Love—a journey through the first letter of John. For three weeks a retired pastor will reflect upon the heart beat of a long dead pastor’s passionate letter to his parishioners, whom he thought of as his daughters and sons. Woven through this letter of love we’ll be looking for life lessons that might help us make the most of this new chapter in our lives as we continue to explore all the implications of 2017. John David Bowman will be our guide using his own translation of the text from the original language. Along the way, we will examine often misunderstood and misused quotes from the book as well as sayings still worthy of displaying on our refrigerators and in our hearts.
