Food Bank Donations
No sooner than the grocery carts placed near the church entrances are emptied, they begin to fill again with nonperishable food items. In 2014 over 2186 pounds were collected for the Warwick Community Chest Food Bank. These grocery carts along with the Christmas evening service donations have helped to feed 215 families in the Lititz, Elizabeth, Warwick School District area in 2014.
The local food bank provides a two week supply of perishable and non-perishable foods. Special diet foods can be accommodated when available. Baby food and formula provided on an emergency basis only. Laundry and personal care items when available may be provided. The amount of food provided depends on the size of the family and donations available and is delivered by volunteers.
Christmas Holiday food baskets are provided to those in need so families can enjoy a traditional meal.
